We do not buy personal data from third parties, and we do not sell yours.
3. Who else sees your data
We use a small number of service providers, each of which only receives what it needs:
- Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland) — processes card, Bancontact and Link payments.
- Hostinger International Ltd. — hosts this website and our e-mail.
- Google Ireland Ltd. — supplies the reCAPTCHA that protects our forms from automated abuse, and the fonts used on this site.
- Our delivery partners — receive your name, address and phone number so they can deliver your furniture.
We also disclose data where the law obliges us to, for example to the tax authorities.
4. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Our providers are established in the EEA. Where one of them relies on a group company outside the EEA, that transfer is covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for a copy.
5. How long we keep it
- Orders and invoices — seven years, because Belgian bookkeeping law requires it.
- Your account — until you ask us to delete it.
- Quote requests — 24 months, so we can pick the conversation back up if you return to the idea.
- Contact messages — 12 months after the matter is closed.
- Server and security logs — 12 months.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or hand it to another provider in a portable form. You may object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and you may withdraw any consent you have given at any time — withdrawing it does not affect what we did before.
Write to info@bmmeubelen.com. We reply within one month. We will ask you to confirm who you are before we act, so that nobody else can use these rights against you.
If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels — contact@apd-gba.be, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
7. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work: keeping your basket, keeping you signed in, and remembering your language. These do not require consent.
Google reCAPTCHA sets its own cookies on the pages that carry a form, in order to tell people from bots. If you block them, those forms will not submit.
You can delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking the necessary ones will stop the shop from working.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, access to the administration area is limited to named people, and payment details never touch our server. No system is perfect; if a breach ever affects your rights we will tell you and the Data Protection Authority as the law requires.
9. Changes
If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the site.
